Other features
The Industrial Hotspots also support AeroScout tag tracking, allowing you to locate any asset or person (such as miners) and monitor wide-ranging operations. Working with an application involving distributed I/O or video surveillance? The QoS feature allows users to set different data transmission rates to optimize their Ethernet bandwidth. If your application is in an extreme environment, we offer Weatherproof Hotspots, which are water-tight for applications such as offshore oil rigs, and dust-tight for mining applications.
The radios are secure, providing 128-bit AES encryption for secure communications. Each radio?s configuration can be stored on a microSD card to support disaster recovery plans and get users back up and running faster, reducing downtime.
The radios can also be used in conjunction with a radiating cable solution. A radiating cable is good for applications involving rotating machinery where slip rings were initially used. The radiating cable decreases the maintenance and downtime associated with slip rings, while still providing a clear path to the rotating antenna without interfering with other wireless signals in a crowded plant.
